The Jiggy break project
“My mission is for it to be as normal at work for people to stand up and take a healthy 2-minute ‘Jiggy’ break’, as it was for people to leave the office for a 10-minute ‘ciggy’ break.” Joy Taylor — Rude Health Rocks

The ‘Jiggy break’ is a 2-minute easy exercise routine that’s designed to be done in the work place to help reduce stress and improve health.
Why the Jiggy break?
As a workforce, we are seizing up, sitting still for hours on end hunched over our desks/phones/computers, sitting in our cars, then retiring to our sofas.
Our bodies weren’t designed to sit still for hours on end, that’s because we have a genetic blueprint that requires physical activity to stay healthy. We were designed to move, stretch walk run, twist and jump - movement is absolutely essential for good health.
Stress and fatigue are common at work, and much of this can be alleviated by simply moving our body to free the muscular tension that develops as a result of our sedentary lifestyles and bad posture.
It’s easy to lose track of time when you’re concentrating on work, not noticing your body’s needs until it feels tense and achy. If you don’t have a way of releasing this tension you'll feel worn out and weary as you unwittingly carry this accumulating tension and stress you’re holding on to.
The Jiggy break routine is not designed to keep you fit, it’s designed to loosen your body and keep you functioning optimally, enabling you to let go of stress and release muscle tension as it builds up throughout the day.
So, what are you waiting for?
